After yet another failed attempt to steal Pikachu, Team Rocket wind up at a Ramen shop. Jessie and James are surprised when they discover that the shop owner was one of their underclassmen from their days at the Team Rocket training facility. They try yet again at capturing Pikachu, but fail. Following this, Meowth and Jessie decide to leave Team Rocket to pursue other things. Meowth decides to work in Christopher’s noodle shop, Jessie decides to give her contest career her full attention, and James decides to go after a shiny Metagross, thinking that if he captures it, Jessie and Meowth will return and they can all move up in Team Rocket.
